How To Put New String On A Fishing Pole

Properly "stringing" a fishing pole involves loading the reel with the correct line and and then threading the line-fishing line from the reel through the guides on the fishing pole. An angler using the steps below will exist able to properly "string" a spinning rod.

Step 1

Mount the spinning reel on the angling pole by sliding the reel into place on the rod's reel seat and tightening the "property band" until the reel is firmly in identify. The properly positioned spinning reel volition hang below the rod and exist aligned with the guides of the angling rod.

Step 2

Tie the line to the spool of the reel using the "Reel Knot" displayed in the accompanying photo. The overhand knots should be tightened until they are "jammed" up confronting the reel spool. Trim any backlog line.

Footstep 3

Begin spooling line onto the reel spool by operating the handle of the reel. To avoid twisting the line, make sure that the line is coming off the line spool in the same direction (clockwise or counterclockwise) that the bond arm of the reel is rotating. Cut excess line one time the reel spool is total.

Stride 4

Be certain that the line runs underneath the bail arm of the spinning reel when the bail arm is in the "downward" position. Raise the bond arm to the "up" position to permit the line to come off the spool freely.

Step 5

Fold the cease portion of the line over to class a loop. This loop will keep the line from slipping back through the rod guides during the rod-stringing process.

Step half-dozen

Run the loop of line through all of the guides on the fishing rod. Pull the end of the line through all the the rod guides. Once the loop of line passes through the "tiptop" guide on the rod, the fishing rod is properly strung.
